Linda Disney joined STEP - Support the Enlisted Project because of its mission to help junior enlisted military families and transitioning veterans in time of financial crisis. As a military spouse, she has witnessed the challenges they face, especially in Washington state where the cost of living is so high. She is committed to raising awareness and collaborating with others to find solutions to this challenge.

For many years, Linda has worked with organizations to meet the needs of underserved populations. She was the executive director of the Idaho Occupational Therapy Association where she helped increase access to service especially for low-income individuals in rural communities. Linda is an active Optimist Club member and volunteer leader with Optimist International. She has started many new Optimist Clubs to address unique problems in individual communities and works daily to increase community awareness online through the Experience Optimism brand. She appreciates the good work, fellowship, and partnership of all service clubs. 

Linda has a bachelor's degree in political science and a master's degree in journalism. She hails from the St. Louis area and has called the Pacific Northwest home for 22 years.  

We are hoping to raise enough money for 70 Families this year. Click here to donate.
