Bukobero Project
May 01, 2025
After Sheila Hosner retired from the Washington State Department of Ecology in 2015, she traveled to Uganda where she worked in a hospital managing a health care program for almost three years. While there, she met people from the Bukobero community who asked for her help in building a desperately needed health center. Because of her respect for the people and their deep commitment, she agreed. Since 2018 she has been working with the Bukobero community to help them realize their dream. Sheila has been a member of the University District Rotary Club for four years where she is the chair of the International Services Committee. |
