TeleHealth Access for Seniors
Feb 11, 2021 12:00 PM
We are meeting through Zoom. For secutiry purposes - please contact the person who invited you to get the login information. If you are a visiting Rotarian go back to the homepage and email one of the officers. Millions of older Americans live in poverty and cannot afford the video enabled devices necessary to attend their appointments. 85% of senior citizens have at least one chronic condition, meaning having reliable and safe access to healthcare is essential to managing their health, especially during the pandemic. Recognizing this need, our organization provides elderly and low-income patients with smart devices, educational resources, and virtual technical support to keep them connected with their healthcare providers and loved ones during the pandemic. Their efforts have also been featured on KING 5 and Northwest Asian Weekly! |

Her first job was working at her family’s business, a small independent pharmacy, aptly named “Family Pharmacy”. She attended the University of Washington where she studied Theatre and Classics. She then worked for over 15 years in non-profit arts management. In 2013 she expanded her non-profit experience to work at Discover Burien, a non-profit organization focused on marketing and promoting the City of Burien, which also happens to be home for Andrea and her family for over 10 years. In 2016 Andrea accepted the position to serve as the President/CEO at Seattle Southside Chamber of Commerce. She is thrilled to be able to maximize her varied experience growing up in a family that knew the challenges of owning a small business as well as non-profit management to be able to maximize the services and benefits the Chamber is able to provide and deliver for the community of Southwest King County. |
